What will you tell your children?
How do you explain to kids that politicians feel the need to lie even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary? What of laws that are unpopular to certain special interest groups and invite civil disobediernce? What about the lies government hides for many years such as funding for social security. How do we say to the children that it is not ok for them to lie but a retirees lifetime pension is wiped out in a single stroke through lying and deciet? When the evidence clearly supports that people lie at every level of government; that our attorney neral is in fact lying, how can we tell our kids that he is a truly honorable man? If we allow powerful and wealthy people to flout the law can we expect our own children to respect the law? When others are given carte blanche to defy the rules and go their own way, shouldn't we allow our own kids no less? Are they not entitled, as the budding fruit of our society, to resp;ect and abide by only the laws that they feel are in their own best interest? George Bush's attorney went into judges chambers in Texas, and when he came out our president's drunk driving and drunk and fighting charges were suppressed. The attorney who did this? Good old attorney general gonzales. Think of the ramifications. An alcoholic is elected president and the country is almost simultaneously in a state of constant disarray. Look at what happened during a pivitol period when the drunken Yeltiz trusted his newly won democracy to a former KGB man. W:hy is everyone shocked when Putin turns the former soviet union over to his former kgb colleagues to turn the government back into an oligarchy?
You probably won't mind much if the rules are broken to convict someone "we know is guilty." l7 convictions or more of capital murder case convictions recently thrown out and innocent men set free is the standfard we tell our kids, so that a pice of paper gets "closed," the DA gets another rung toward the governor's office, not that a murder was solved and the guilty party punished. In the OC jail, santa ana, california someone spills the beans on an alleged perp who liked kiddy porn and was a resident of the jail awaiting a bail hearing. Somehow, he is executed by the jail residents out of sight of cameras and guards.A guard is accused. Other allegations, so far unproven, come down.It is a tragedy. And it is the first inmate death in l8 years at the jail. How could such a thing happen in the U.S. where safe-guards protect the innocent.?
We really mean the innocent who have money. Most public defender cases are pled whether the alleged perp is guilty, innocent, or just happened to be watching the day's proceedings at court and got swept up by uniforms a judge ordered to "clean this place up!" Some estimate that 65% of jailed individuals are there for a plea thay accepted, even though they didn't commit the crime. What? Why would anyone accept this? Been in jail for 45 days already, and no bail money. This is the third alleged offense. Who is going to take the perp's word he didn't do this one? Guilty! And so it goes.
A rotton defense lawyer may pleade your case without your knowledge or consent, and may have done it at lunch with the judge and the prosecutor present.
And please don't believe fox news and others who scream about crime and victims gone out of control, and build more prisons. Crime is no more higher than it ever was, given demographics and population. Stop looking and acting like victims. We are not victims but if we look like a victim we could attract the very thing that fox news got us all hysterical about in the first place.
Some think that death is too good for those accused of looking at nude pictures, especially kids.. If everyone agrees, I suppose the law could change to hang all accused sex offenders, and anyone who through curiosity looks at a picture. And if that is the goal of our society then the law should be changed to reflect the feeling of the people.
We put extreme demands on those who look after jail residents. They have to work shifts that places very disorienting and stressful demands on those under constant, unrelenting stress, and sometimes fear. Guards are not armed and the ratio is not condusive to an easy, save feeling among guards. They are the object of thrown feces and urine which can and often does contain the deadly aids virus. When a guard buckles under this unnatural pressure, bad things can happen. When too much is demanded from human beings, especially too much responsibility , it is asking too much to expect that one won't crack on occasion. They should not be the target of prosecution. Inmates will lie about them to protect their own skin. In these situations they are forced to stand together. If there is an officer responsible he/she does not deserve punishment but a rest in the country. Most often fair and non-judgmental treatment will return a more objective and relaxed employee who feels he is wanted and supported by his government and society. With positive support, Maybe he won't feel inclined to take out his frustration on the inmates he is supposed to oversee and protect. Under the current system, no one talks. This is one of the best examples of societal co-dependency anywhere. Better to not talk about the devil you know, than talk about the devil you dont know is the disfunctional rule.

again. Mostly the husband or b/f isn't all that interested in the size of the boobs but will eventually give in under properly
applied pressure, and support the mrs. decision. Quicker than you can jack flash they are installed and are they ever
drawing attention. ZZZp, she's gone! Papa has to watch her run off with a
new lover with papa still oweing the anetheseologist and the consulting
surgeon.
No amount of cajoling, money, or women can ever get me to give up my self-respect and self esteem. just to date a younger woman. My age is what it is. I know lots of very unattractive 40 year old people so that is not the test for me. Some of the most unattractive in fact, were under 30 when their unpleasent attitude, hostile demeanor, and drug using stupor gave them an ugliness I have not seen in 60 year old women I have known.
Attractiveness is subjective. For me it is A woman who knows who she is, is comfortable with herself and path she is currently on, and does not feel the need to run with the herd. She knows that eventually the wrinkles are going to multiply and that life is too fleeting to waste on chasing after the perfect woman or man. For me, it has meant taking a new, lonlier road in which I seek to reaffirm myself and my relationship with the great and infinite ONE.
The most natural thing to do, it seems is that when we get dumped or the relationship ends by mutual agreement, is to rush right into another, similar
relationship, with similar personality types, and with a similar outcome. Don't feel too bad when it happens. It is common enough almost to state that it is a law.
Respect yourself at any age. I am ok with 60 and it will be the same with 70. We have increased our lifespan through the capacity of older people to make use of some of the medical breakthroughs that lead to a long life. If we don't prepare ourselves for old age, we may be cursing a lonly life that is unsatisfactory. All because we have unrealistic expectations we can stay young AND that staying young is the most desirable stage in life and that it is the natural order of things. Natural things we do to make our lives longer and healthier, such as eating right, exercising and getting out with friends and family seems to be the most effective means to fight off some negative aging perception. There is accumulated evidence that good habits do fight off the physical effects of aging. Age matters but only if you put your head in the mashed potatos or think you are a barber pole.

The first thing I suspect when a child's behavior suddenly goes bizarre is not hormones but Drugs or booze! Now, these kids are not exactly rocket scientists; and if you don't go all off on them like a raging bull you can do a little investigating so that you don't raise their suspicions. Usually when their behaviour has deteriorated to the point where you can't get them out of bed, they are truant, grades have gone to hell, and they have new friends or the type of friends that don't come around, suspect drugs or booze! Talk to their old friends, to teachers and the principal to get a handle on the situation. Hormones? What about the drug paraphanalia, pipes, papers, teashirt with the marijuana leaf on it or the band known to advocate drugs. What about the other changes such as inappropriate dress and sexual activity(it's not spin the bottle anymore) and where did the condom come from? What are they reading and writing? Noone is going to look out for that kid except the parent or the police after a law has been broken. Kids are using meth in elementary school. If you don't know what meth is, you need to study up on drugs. The US is the number one consumer of drugs, partially because of misguided and stupid drug policys that have only made the problem worse. We still allow hard drugs to get into the country while concentrating on marijuana, and even the medical clinics that dispense it. Why?? Because bribes are so good that drugs are getting in through channels that reward border agents, police, judges and politicians to allow it to happen. Be alert and don't come off as a hateful parent. Then you will have another problem to deal with. A runaway kid. Love is the most important tool in the fight for control of the kids. Tough love. They want it and they need it and in 25 years of dealing with these kids, I never saw one kid who didnt thrive when that feeling of love got through. And if it really is hormones? Pray!!

I Hello, I promised this January as a resolution never to talk politics again but I knw when I swore that, I couldn't keep this promise, my fingers were
crossed just in case. Before Yahoo cut off the discussions which had become forums where nobody listened anyway, they were getting downright boring and who is gonna listen to an old, 70 year old crippled man anyway, at least without laughing? I don't miss those rants. They were getting weird and
pretty whiney., the prediction I made was and still is, that the right would support their nomination of hillary clinton to be the Democratic candidate for president in 2008. Why? Because they know that she cannot possiblly run and win against almost any candidate the Republicans could nominate. They have been holding back their cannons until the time is ripe to throw everything they have at her and husband and former president Bill Clinton. Some of their mud is prematurely being thrown but not much. Not yet. So far they are only attacking her because she is too manipulative, too cunning, and "not experienced in foreign policy." When she locks up the nomination, the partry will set the dogs loose, the likes of which haven't been seen since Tricky Dicky and J. Edgar Hoopskirt went after "Commies and fellow travelers." This time I have a feeling that the Democratic Party is not going to allow the smear tactics without digging out and throwing a little of their own. This is one citizen who is tired of the lies, stealing in government and on Wall Street, The warping of mainstream ideals by angry, elitist and so-called Christians who are stockpiling weapons and ammunition and training their children in hate, and finally, the theft of our constitution unlawfully, and the theft of our way of government by powerful, arrogant, people who were never elected by anyone but have ursurped power through buying off of our Congress, state and local government, and even governors and police. There is no war on drugs. There is a war on the American people to support phony programs that fatten the pockets of drug dealers and even police. The drug trade would not exist without bribery. Unfortunately, the money is so great it has undermined high ranking judges who have made this the number one country in the world for incarceration. This in turn supports the towns that the prisons are built in. We have finally succeeded where science couldn't. We have built the ultimate perpetual motion machine. Now, let's see about putting some of the war criminals, thieves in office, and corporate robber barons in them so we can all get a good nights sleep. I almost forgot. Obama? Forget it. The old saw that the country isn't ready for a black man as president will surface and the folks that vote will shake their heads sadly and mumble something about not enough time having past since slavery---And I hope he's elected by the largest margin in history.
